Rush Omegas!

Philanthropy

Omega Xi Delta has been thoroughly involved in the community both on and off campus. Every year we extend our helping hands to Ocean View Elementary School’s Harvest Festival, St. Jude Hospital’s “Up Till Dawn”, co-host Lantern Festival, and invite minority high students to spend an entire weekend on campus during Polycultural Weekend. Recently we have started on a grass roots campaign known as F.O.O. to help spread awareness about modern day human trafficking.

F.O.O.

F.O.O. stands for “Friends of Omegas”. This is part of our campaign here at Cal Poly, on behalf of Polaris Project, to raise awareness about the several injustices that go on in the world with one in particular being human trafficking in which human beings are sold into the sex industry, forced into labor, domestic servitude, or used as involuntary organ donors. This is a grassroots campaign with community members across the United States sharing one goal: to combat human trafficking.

Building Schools in Myanmar

Omega Xi Delta can not emphasize enough the values and opportunity that comes with a good education. The knowledge that we have gained and continue to persue has brought us together and created our foundation as leaders. Working with the guidance of Beyond Borders and Dr. Barbara Mori, we plan to fund the building of a school that will serve hundreds in the war torn country of Myanmar(formerly Burma). Support us as we undertake the most exciting and challenging philanthropy in our history, as we plan to raise more than $15,000.
