What is Rush?

Rush is a time for an individual to learn more about Omega Xi Delta and what it means to be a member. It is also an opportunity for you to get to know the brothers and for us to get to know you. All events are free, all rides provided, and there is no obligation to join.

Brotherhood

Why Omega Xi Delta?

Since the inception of Omega Xi Delta, we have established ourselves as a highly reputable organization. We hold our pillars and values to the utmost standard.
Brotherhood - A brother is much more than just a friend. Omega Xi Delta is like a family, each brother can be assured there will be other members that they count on, and that can count on them whether it be social events, academics, college life, or anything above.
Cultural Awareness - Omega Xi Delta was assembled on the idea of being an Asian-Interest fraternity. We pride ourselves in creating a more aware and tolerant community by celebrating our own cultures and sharing it with others.
Gentlemen-Like Conduct - We view being a gentlemen as more than just holding open doors. It's the way you present yourself, every member is expected to hold themselves to be dignified and express confidence. Being a gentlemen is a tool that is necessary to be a respected and sucessful individual.
College Experience - After leaving college you will not only have recieve a degree, but you will have gained brothers and experiences that will be with you for the rest of your life. We try our best to keep a strong alumni brothers network.
Academic Success - We believe your education is a high priority, after all that is the reason you chose to come to Cal Poly. There are brothers from a variety of majors that help each other with their studies. Omega Xi Delta has historically been noted for our collective GPA on several occassions.

What makes Omega Xi Delta different from another organization?

We would not be justified in telling you what another organization is about. We would invite you to look into all organizations that catches your interest, and make your own opinion. We strongly believe you should decide for yourself if Omega Xi Delta is right for you.

Do You Haze?

We see pledges as potential brothers and do not believe that there is any constructive purpose to hazing. One of Omega Xi Delta's pillars is Gentlemen-Like Conduct, therefore in order to practice our own principles we do not haze. Pledgeship is a learning process and we believe everything we do has a purpose, you will not be asked to do anything demeaning or degrading.

Who can Join?

Anyone is welcome to come out to rush week. There are no criteria for membership based upon race, religion, gender, or ethnicity.

Does it cost anything?

Like any organization at Cal Poly, we have membership fees. Although we do not disclose our fees, it is very affordable and there are plans and exemptions that can worked out with our treasurer. Our goal is not to have money be part of the decision to become part of Omega Xi Delta.
